ABOUT OUR COMMUNITY LeChee Chapter lies on the northern portion of the Kaibeto Plateau and along the shores of Lake Powell. LeChee Chapter is part of the Western Navajo Land Expansion created by a United States Presidential Executive Order signed by President McKinley on January 8, 1900, 12 years before the State of Arizona was established. Elevations range from 7,090 feet on the Kaibeto Plateau to 3,705 feet at the northern boundary of the Chapter along the shores of Lake Powell. This arid region supports a desert scrub vegetation commnity. Four canyons cross throught the Chapter and carry storm runoff to Lake Powell. Water and wind have carved and formed the scenic wonders such as Upper and Lower Antelope Canyons and Honey Draw Canyons. The scenic wonders of LeChee Chapter bring millions of people to the area each year providing an economic foundation to the local communities. Such wonders include Antelope Canyons, Canyon-X, Łigaii Si Anii Canyon, Mystical Antelope Canyon, Waterholes Canyon, and Antelope Point Marine on Lake Powell. We are located five miles south of the lovely Page, Arizona and off of N20. LeChee Chapter is not affliated with any Antelope Canyon Tours, Lake Powell excusions, and Water Hole Canyon Tours.
